Show Topic: Cheat Meals and Mindful Eating
Romy Nelson is a registered dietetic technician and personal trainer, and this show is about helping people find their path to health and fitness. She specializes in corporate wellness programs to help businesses keep their employees healthy, which helps improves workplace morale and productivity.
In this episode, Romy, Michael and Lorrie talk about fitting cheat meals into your new eating habits, how important they can be, and how not to let a cheat meal slide into becoming a fall off the new eating lifestyle.
Here are the calculations Romy explains to determine how many calories your cheat meal would be based on your goal weight:
* take your weight in pounds, divide by 2.2 to obtain kilograms
* for low activity people, multiply that by 25
* for high activity people, multiply that by 30
People who are working to put on more muscle weight are going to have higher multipliers and eat more meals per day (with more protein intake).
Voicemails: Susie has been using the Wii Fit for exercise, and she wants to know if she should back off to let her injured ankle heal and if she might be too heavy to run safely; Angelique wants to know what protein powder brands Romy recommends (MRM 100% Natural Whey Protein is the one she likes now)
