Show Topic: Changing Those Habits
Romy Nelson is a registered dietetic technician and personal trainer, and this show is about helping people find their path to health and fitness. She specializes in corporate wellness programs to help businesses keep their employees healthy, which helps improves workplace morale and productivity.
In this episode, Romy talks with Michael and Jeffrey about the effects of stimulants (coffee and caffeine) on the body and on maintaining weight and fitness levels, and other eating and exercise habits that people try to change and sometimes aren’t successful accomplishing.
Being in the moment is making the change in that moment. Modifying your behavior comes down to taking an extra moment and making a conscious choice to not eat that extra piece of pizza, or that pint of ice cream, or that extra large order of fries.
Yes, fries can be just as addictive as coffee or cigarettes!
Romy also discusses the potentioal emotional and psychological components of food cravings that might have to be addressed or acknowledged before a lasting change can be given a chance to stick.
Breathe and be in the moment!

Romy,
I started listening to the podcast from the beginning during my commute home last night. I’m currently in the middle of listening to Episode #2 and have found myself already consciously making different choices about what I eat and when. I’ve had two opportunities today that would have normally had me drinking soda (diet soda, but still) and instead I held off until I got back to my desk and stuck with the big jug of water that I refill each morning. It looks like soon I’ll be moving to even more water as I try to change some of these habits.
Thanks for this show it’s already starting to kick-start my motivation to get back to heathier eating and weight loss, and It might even be something that brings Tony’s Losing It back to the podosphere.
Thanks!
